LG TV
On an LG TV, the IBO Player app connects to your subscription. It’s free for 7 days, then paid, and you add your credentials on its website, not on the TV.
What to do
-
In the TV’s app store, search for “IBO Player” and install the one by the developer Smartdev. Many apps have similar names.
-
Open it. It shows a MAC address and a Device Key: write both down.
-
On a phone or computer, go to iboplayer.com, choose Manage Playlist, then enter the MAC address and the Device Key.
-
Add a playlist in the “XC” tab: the portal address in the Host box, then your username and your password. Then restart the app on the TV.
The app is free for 7 days. After that, activate it on iboplayer.com and nowhere else. That money goes to IBO Player, not to us.
The MAC address changes if you switch between Wi-Fi and a network cable. Use the one for the connection you keep.
Avoid SS IPTV: it can’t sign in with a username and password.
Apps called TiviMate in the Samsung and LG stores aren’t the real TiviMate.
Typing your information
Uppercase and lowercase letters matter. Easiest: open your account on a phone and copy them over. On Google TV and Apple TV, the phone can also be the keyboard.
Type the whole portal address: it starts with http and ends with the number after the colon, with no spaces and no slash at the end. Always choose Xtream Codes, never Stalker or MAC portal.
One screen at a time, this site’s player included. Before switching devices, close the app or the tab on the other one, then wait a minute.
What you got
Three pieces of information, typed once per device.
- A username
- A string of letters and numbers. It’s not your email.
- A password
- The one for your TV access. It’s not the one for your account on this site.
- A portal address
- It starts with http. Depending on the app, it’s called “portal”, “server”, “host” or “URL”.
You’ll find all three in My account.
When it doesn’t work
- The picture freezes or keeps spinning
- It’s almost always the internet connection. Move the device closer to the router or plug it in by cable. Otherwise, close the app and reopen it.
- It cuts out when someone else is watching
- That’s normal: a subscription allows one device at a time.
- The app says the credentials are wrong
- Check the uppercase letters, and that you typed the password for your TV access, not the one for your account on this site.
- Nothing loads at all
- Check the end date in your account: a subscription that has ended stops working without warning.
