Amazon Fire TV
On a Fire TV, the Raccon app installs through Downloader, an app from the Appstore. Check your model first: the newest ones can’t install it.
What to do
Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and TVs with Fire TV built in.
Check your model first
In settings, open My Fire TV (on a TV: Device & Software), then About, and look at the software version. Fire OS 6, 7 or 8: follow the steps. Fire OS 5: the device is too old for the app. No “Fire” before the number: the device can’t install this app. That’s the case for the Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the Fire TV Stick HD sold since 2026. Watch on a phone or computer instead, or use a Google TV device.
-
In the Appstore, install Downloader, by AFTVnews (orange icon).
-
In About, press the first line, the device name, 7 times. Go back: a developer menu appears.
-
In that menu, allow Downloader to install unknown apps. If Downloader isn’t in the list, check for updates in About, restart and try again.
-
Open Downloader and type the code 9944706. When the Raccon app appears, choose Install, then Open. You’ll find Raccon in your apps afterward.
For a smoother experience, we strongly recommend the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus or 4K Max.
Typing your information
Uppercase and lowercase letters matter. Easiest: open your account on a phone and copy them over. On Google TV and Apple TV, the phone can also be the keyboard.
Type the whole portal address: it starts with http and ends with the number after the colon, with no spaces and no slash at the end. Always choose Xtream Codes, never Stalker or MAC portal.
One screen at a time, this site’s player included. Before switching devices, close the app or the tab on the other one, then wait a minute.
What you got
Three pieces of information, typed once per device.
- A username
- A string of letters and numbers. It’s not your email.
- A password
- The one for your TV access. It’s not the one for your account on this site.
- A portal address
- It starts with http. Depending on the app, it’s called “portal”, “server”, “host” or “URL”.
You’ll find all three in My account.
When it doesn’t work
- The picture freezes or keeps spinning
- It’s almost always the internet connection. Move the device closer to the router or plug it in by cable. Otherwise, close the app and reopen it.
- It cuts out when someone else is watching
- That’s normal: a subscription allows one device at a time.
- The app says the credentials are wrong
- Check the uppercase letters, and that you typed the password for your TV access, not the one for your account on this site.
- Nothing loads at all
- Check the end date in your account: a subscription that has ended stops working without warning.
