Android phone or tablet
On an Android phone or tablet, the XCIPTV PLAYER app downloads from Google Play. It’s free, with ads. You can also watch in the browser, with nothing to install.
What to do
Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Motorola and other Android phones and tablets.
-
Open Google Play, search for “XCIPTV” and install XCIPTV PLAYER, by the developer OTTRUN.
-
Open it. It shows in landscape. Check that the screen says “Xtream Codes compatible API”; if not, tap Settings at the bottom right and choose “Xtream Codes API”.
-
Type the portal address in “Enter XC API URL”, then your username and your password. Press “Sign in”.
It’s free, with ads. Several apps have similar names: check the developer.
The real TiviMate is offered for TVs only, not for phones.
What you got
Three pieces of information, typed once per device.
- A username
- A string of letters and numbers. It’s not your email.
- A password
- The one for your TV access. It’s not the one for your account on this site.
- A portal address
- It starts with http. Depending on the app, it’s called “portal”, “server”, “host” or “URL”.
You’ll find all three in My account.
When it doesn’t work
- The picture freezes or keeps spinning
- It’s almost always the internet connection. Move the device closer to the router or plug it in by cable. Otherwise, close the app and reopen it.
- It cuts out when someone else is watching
- That’s normal: a subscription allows one device at a time.
- The app says the credentials are wrong
- Check the uppercase letters, and that you typed the password for your TV access, not the one for your account on this site.
- Nothing loads at all
- Check the end date in your account: a subscription that has ended stops working without warning.
